I recommend for all ages and skill levels. The technical level and experience of instructors and several of the students are like no other. A large number of them are international champions and more are getting ready for the challenge, like me. It is a traditional dojo, it is expected discipline, respect and hard work. Two things I think to be unique, first is the supportive environment (competitive yes, but it is like a big family of champions sharing their best) and the second is the intellectual teachings (origin of techniques, comparisons with other martial arts) which is making me sharper as a karate-ka and a person.

Biography

Sensei Anna is a native Japanese speaker and the hardest working student at the dojo. She surpassed her sons in karate, has won countless medals at state, regional, and national championships, and substitutes for other instructors whenever she can (even though she is a busy engineer).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sensei Anna furthered her Okinawan weapons knowledge by training virtually with the late great Sensei Dometrich; Today, Sensei Anna teaches fundamental weapons class which covers proper handling and fluid movement of bo, eiku, sai, and kama.
