I recommend for all ages and skill levels. The technical level and experience of instructors and several of the students are like no other. A large number of them are international champions and more are getting ready for the challenge, like me. It is a traditional dojo, it is expected discipline, respect and hard work. Two things I think to be unique, first is the supportive environment (competitive yes, but it is like a big family of champions sharing their best) and the second is the intellectual teachings (origin of techniques, comparisons with other martial arts) which is making me sharper as a karate-ka and a person.

Feb. 28 Georgia State championship is now open for registration (link).

Mar. 14 NC state championship registration prices go up on Feb 17 (link) (Tuesday!) Sign up sooner to $ave.

Va. State Championship, Feb. 14, TBK brought 12 athletes, 3 coaches, 5 officials including Sensei Ken and Senpai Miranda.  TBK brought home 2 gold, 1 silver, 14 bronze medals.

Training with Sensei Omar Ocampo at the Goldsboro Okinawan Karate (GOK) dojo was moved from Jan. 31 to Friday, Jan. 30 at 5:30-7:30 PM, due to expected snow on Jan. 31 and Sensei Ocampo’s safe departure.
